Year 10- Pre-Production
meeting notes
The songs we had chosen for our 15-minute set were:
· Somewhere only we know
·
I see fire
·
Iris
We got into groups and I was with louis and bryony. This was
a good group we got on well and didn’t have arguments. We got on with the work
and got our songs down in a notebook and started to practise them. Then 3 weeks
into rehearsals ollie and Amy joined our group. If I’m honest at first it
worked but then went downhill because we all started to argue with each other.
We still tried our best to practise and get on with it but we were always doing
the same thing. We had 2 hours a week to do rehearsals. We needed to practise
all our song to make sure everyone knew the lyrics. We need to work on the
group getting stronger and working more as a team.
Year 11-
pre-production meeting notes
Things weren’t working well in my previous group so we have
formed a new group. They weren’t working because our group argued too much and
we ended up not using our rehearsal time productively, so we thought it would
be best to start fresh with a different group as we all just wanted to do the
best we can in our GCSE. I believe that this new group will work a lot better
because we get on with what we have to and we all know we have to work hard to
get the grade and the best thing is all our group wants to get better then a
pass. In my new group is Owen, Jake and Bryony. Owen will be playing the drums
for our songs, Jake will be playing piano for two songs and the bass for one
song and bryony and I will be singing for all the songs we will perform. My group
are going to perform wonderwall by oasis it will be a hit with the older
generation but also the younger generation as well, thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran
this is a new song so the teenagers will like this song, no scrubs by TLC is an
older song which is upbeat and will get the older audience on their feet and
final Bryony and I will sing when we were young by Adele we decide to end with
this song because its slower and very emotional. I want to do these new songs
because I feel they will fit the brief of a concert performance in front of a mixed
age audience.
