Brief:
Perform 15 minutes of music at a school charity event.
Demographic/target audience: A mixture of age ranges - pupils/young people and teachers, parents/carers, and governors. I will need to choose a wide range of music that will appeal to all ages. I will consider this in my preproduction meeting notes with my group. I must perform between 4 and 5 songs, if each song is around 3:30s in length.
I will meet the audience's expectations performing a range of different styles of music, most will be pop. The audience will be of mixed ages, and I will need to choose suitable genres for them - pop has a very large demographic and can appeal to a wide range of people. I need to also make sure that I and my group provide a good performance that is professional and enjoyable. We need to be rehearsed and we all know what we are doing. If we do make mistakes, we will need to be professional about it and continue without stopping. I must remember to smile and make it look like I am enjoying it, even if I am very nervous.

Which technique did you develop in learning this song?
·
I put some harmony’s in own piece so it would sound unique and different to just singing in the same key all the way through the song. If it was the same key through it. It would get boring and people wouldn’t want to listen to the piece we put together. I think everyone sounded really good together and it all fit and was in time.

How did you work within your instrumental groups to learn the
song & how did working together help you to develop your skills?
·
I think we worked really well as a group because we
focus hard and put effort into this piece and working together help because I
was got to know new people and was really hard working with the group.
Did you try improvising & how did you go about experimenting
with improvisation & what skills do you think you developed as a result of
this?
Yes we did improvise because we had to sing loud so
that the recording could hear us because we had no microphones.
